About
Welcome, my name is Leigh Price, founder of Ling Dao Academy and a lifelong student of the internal arts.My path began more than two decades ago as a secondary and senior secondary art teacher, guiding young people to trust their creativity, intuition, and authentic expression. Teaching taught me how to listen deeply, hold space, and support transformation. These qualities naturally evolved into my work with healing, consciousness, and the internal energetics of the body. For over 15 years, I have trained in classical internal energy arts, including Shaolin Kung Fu, Qi Gong, breathwork, and meditative practices. These studies continue to this day, shaping how I move, teach, and understand the subtle intelligence of the body. My training is rooted in traditional principles; alignment, internal power, breath, intention, and the cultivation of clear, grounded Qi.Ling Dao Academy arose from a wish to share these arts not only as techniques, but as living pathways. My work integrates:• the precision and discipline of classical Nei Gong,• the sensitivity and self-awareness of meditative practice,• the gentle, restorative power of healing and inner cultivation. My approach is compassionate, grounded, and accessible. I believe the internal arts are not something we “learn once”. They are a lifelong deepening into presence, vitality, and authentic inner strength.Through Ling Dao Academy, I offer you a space to reconnect with your body’s natural wisdom, restore balance, and explore the deeper dimensions of your energy, awareness, and spirit.

Qi Gong
What Is Qi Gong?Qi Gong (氣功) is an ancient internal art dedicated to cultivating life force or Qi, through movement, breath, intention, and stillness. It is both gentle and profound, both simple and deeply transformative. Practiced for thousands of years in China, Qi Gong is a holistic system that harmonises the body, clears the mind, and awakens a deeper relationship with one’s true nature. At Ling Dao Academy, Qi Gong is taught as a complete path. Traditionally, Qi Gong is understood to have three main aspects: Martial, Medical, and Spiritual. Each supports the others, and all three are woven into a balanced practice.1. Martial Qi Gong (武氣功)Martial Qi Gong develops internal strength, structural integrity, and the coordinated flow of force through the body. It teaches:• rooted stance and stable alignment• relaxed power (song)• whole-body connection• the ability to generate and direct internal force• resilience, clarity, and centred presenceAlthough martial Qi Gong can support combat skills, its deeper purpose is refining the practitioner’s physical and energetic structure so Qi can move freely, efficiently, and powerfully.2. Medical Qi Gong (醫氣功)Medical Qi Gong focuses on healing, restoring balance, and cultivating vitality. It works by regulating the body’s natural energy systems, supporting the organs, meridians, breath, and nervous system.Practitioners use:• gentle forms and movements• specific breathing methods• visualisation and intention• stillness and soft internal activationMedical Qi Gong helps dissolve tension, release stagnant Qi, and nourish the body from within. It is accessible to all ages and physical abilities and supports emotional balance as much as physical wellbeing.3. Spiritual Qi Gong (道氣功)Spiritual Qi Gong is the heart of the Daoist tradition. It guides the practitioner inward — toward stillness, clarity, and the direct experience of one’s essential nature. This aspect includes:• meditative practice• inner observation• breath and awareness cultivation• quieting the mind and opening the heart• connecting with the Dao, the natural flow of lifeSpiritual Qi Gong is not about belief; it is about experience — the steady unveiling of deeper presence, insight, and harmony with the world around us.Qi Gong as a Living PathWhen the Martial, Medical, and Spiritual aspects come together, Qi Gong becomes more than an exercise. It becomes a way of being — grounded, centred, open, and aligned with life.At Ling Dao Academy, Qi Gong is taught with respect for tradition but communicated in a modern, accessible way. Whether your interest is health, inner strength, emotional balance, or spiritual cultivation, Qi Gong offers a path that meets you where you are and grows with you.View videos of the following Qi Gong forms
